WightFibre has announced it has launched Netgem’s new PLEIO streaming hub on the Isle
of Wight. WightFibre TV, powered by Netgem PLEIO, offers an all-IP, Freely-enabled and
aerial-free TV service. It places PLEIO’s intuitive, simplified streaming experience at the core
of its entertainment offering — ensuring customers can enjoy seamless access to the best
content on offer.
As the island’s only all full-fibre broadband provider, WightFibre’s move to PLEIO brings a
new level of simplicity and reliability to streaming TV. With no aerials, no complicated setup,
and no switching between devices, PLEIO ensures everyone — from traditional TV
audiences who simply want to enjoy BBC and ITV with Restart and Replay, to those
embracing modern streaming — can watch their favourite programmes with ease.
Entertainment made simple for island households
WightFibre TV, powered by Netgem PLEIO, delivers every major UK broadcaster seamlessly
over Wi-Fi through Freely, supported by the robust full-fibre broadband network developed
by WightFibre over the past several years. This fibre-first infrastructure makes the service
particularly reliable in coastal areas and older properties where aerial access can be limited
or inconsistent. It also enables effortless viewing on second TVs in bedrooms, studies or
kitchens — all without the need for an aerial.
The service offers a clean, uncomplicated user experience, while still delivering all the
benefits of modern entertainment:
● Broadcaster channels via Freely over Wi-Fi – no aerial needed
● Restart and Replay features for BBC, ITV and many more — perfect for traditional
viewers who want to keep things simple
● All major streaming apps including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and more
● 150+ additional channels for easy browsing
● Cloud Gaming with 250+ games and an included Bluetooth gamepad
● A compact streaming puck that simply plugs into any TV
● Flexible viewing for sports fans, making it easy to watch football on your terms —
live, replayed, or caught up later
For WightFibre customers who want TV to “just work,” without fuss, WightFibre TV with
PLEIO offers the perfect blend of simplicity and modern capability — while WightFibre’s
full-fibre network ensures the connection stays fast and reliable throughout the home.
Pricing and Availability
WightFibre TV is £5.95 per month for 12 months, and £8.95 per month thereafter. It’s

Our customers want TV that’s easy to understand and easy to enjoy on simple monthly
rolling, fuss-free contracts. With PLEIO, all Freely channels and streaming apps are available in one place, without the complexity or need to buy a new TV – with no long term

Sylvain Thevenot, Managing Director of Netgem UK, added:
“We are delighted to partner with WightFibre to bring PLEIO to the Isle of Wight. By
combining WightFibre’s trusted full-fibre broadband with our new all-in-one entertainment
hub — featuring Freely, streaming apps, and cloud gaming — we are delivering an
experience that is simple, inclusive, and great value for families and older residents alike
who can enjoy all form of entertainment, Watch, Stream, or Play.”
