Autumn 2026 Watchlist: What to Watch on PLEIO

After a long (and hot) summer in the UK, cosy season is here as the autumn months roll in, finally bringing back those evenings where you can curl up in a blanket and sink into some quality TV.

Celebrity Traitors Series 2 

While the release date is still unconfirmed, keep your eyes peeled this October for series 2 of Celebrity Traitors, which will see superstars such as James Blunt, Bella Ramsey, Michael Sheen, and Miranda Hart take part in a game of deception and trust as they face challenges, banish suspects, and attempt to win up to £100,000 for a charity of their choosing.

Hosted once again by Claudia Winkleman, the show airs on BBC One and iPlayer — you definitely don’t want to miss the new season of the series that took the nation by storm last year.

New Series of Strictly Come Dancing

As always, the new series of Strictly Come Dancing is a British telly staple to catch this September on BBC One.

Starring a trio of new hosts, contestants such as EastEnders star Lacey Turner, celebrity stylist Chris Appleton, TV personality Dani Dyer, and radio host Will Best will compete their way towards the Glitterball Trophy through a series of face-offs, public votes, dance battles, and show-stopping performances.

Never failing to entertain the whole family with thrilling dance routines, at Netgem we give Strictly a ‘10’.

The Witch Farm

For those of you who love a thriller and are ready to embrace the spooky season, BBC One’s The Witch Farm will be a must-see once it premieres this autumn.

The four-part series will be based on the real, first-hand events explored in Danny Robins’ paranormal BBC podcast The Witch Farm, and is expected to take viewers on a journey alongside the Rich family as their new home becomes filled with increasingly inexplicable happenings.

Starring Gabrielle Creevy and Michael Socha, The Witch Farm is sure to be perfect for those who love a chilling autumn watch.

Hero Circle

Of course, the kids need their autumn content fix too, and with a relatable school setting and visual comedy galore, Hero Circle is the Netgem team’s pick for the kids this season.

With colourful, energetic episodes, Hero Circle follows the adventures of the school club the “Hero Circle,” where a group of friends use their emerging superpowers to solve school problems, help classmates, and figure out where they fit in as they discover their powers.

Available on POP, the 11-13 minute episodes suit the fast-paced younger generation, and happen to also be ideal to squeeze in a quick watch before or after school.

Gilmore girls

For those of you looking for something a little more nostalgic this autumn, Gilmore Girls remains a classic binge-watch favourite for a cosy September evening.

If you like to melt your day away with an easygoing watch that transports you into a TV town where you feel like you truly know the eccentric cast of characters, Gilmore Girls should be a top pick for your watchlist. Starring Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Melissa McCarthy, and Kelly Bishop, Gilmore Girls follows a mother-daughter duo through the ups and downs of their friendships, relationships, coffee dates, and life in the small town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut.

Extremely witty  and comforting, all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls can be streamed on Netflix, Disney+, and ITVX.

Ted Lasso Season 4

For our sports and comedy watchers, Ted’s back and coaching a second-division women’s football team at Richmond this autumn with season 4 of Ted Lasso.

Available through various streaming apps on PLEIO, new episodes land weekly until the finale on 7th October, giving you enough time to enjoy the famously warm and hilarious dynamics of Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, and Brendan Hunt’s characters before spooky season properly sets in.

Perfect for families with older teens, football fans will get the sport, but don’t worry, everyone else will get the heart.

Coraline

For the movie-lovers we have a true autumn family classic. Based on Neil Gaiman’s novella, this beautifully eerie stop-motion film stars Dakota Fanning, Teri Hatcher, Jennifer Saunders, and Ian McShane, and has earned its reputation as a genuine cult autumnal favourite.

Atmospheric enough for older kids and adults, but never too scary for the little ones, this perfectly spooky movie follows Coraline Jones as she discovers the old house her family has moved into is actually housing an alternate, idealised version of her life behind a secret door — but is everything as ideal as it seems?

Available on various streaming platforms on PLEIO, you can’t go wrong with curling up with the family on the sofa to enjoy this autumn movie staple.
